I wasn't feeling great today, but I was able to recuperate a bit outside with my dogs while I listened to talks for my #AcademicRunPlaylist!

First was a great conversation between Ann Lipton and Michael Levin on challenging advance notice bylaws and precatory proposal proxy solicitation on the Shareholder Primacy podcast https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SAL6pQeaIM

Next was an insightful talk by Azim Surani on the hidden logic of the mammalian genome at the Blavatnik School of Government https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkKr3slzgO4

Last was "Ticket Masters" by Dean Budnick and Josh Baron. This is a detailed, case-focused history of the US ticketing industry and how it became an ossified, monopolistic market. If you're younger than 30 you probably won't know a lot of the bands mentioned here (I'm officially old), but the random events that gave rise to current industry pricing standards will be fascinating to everyone. This book would have been even better if it included macro information on the industry, which is conspicuously absent. Still, this is a great history about a truly unique sector. Highly recommend https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/311098/ticket-masters-by-dean-budnick/
