Next was a fantastic talk by Brooke Erin Duffy on platform labor and the politics of algorithmic invisibility at Plamadiso. Duffy focuses on social media creators and their challenges of understanding how the algorithms that drive their livelihoods actually work, leading to direct and indirect harms to employees and the platform itself.
