It was my final day in Boston until the late summer, but before embarking on my last long flight for awhile (thankfully) I listened to talks for my #AcademicRunPlaylist!

First was a great conversation with Alexandre de Streel on the important distinctions between the DMA and antitrust and how to employ these and related tools for European policy aims at the Digital Markets Research Hub https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8AIwZSrfBA

Next was the 2026 Journal of Accounting Research conference. I particularly liked the talks by Yiwei Li (later moves and employee-job match quality) and Charles McClure (CHRO compensation and strategic human capital management) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hNoLdKkKSg

Last was an incredible talk by Tamar Makin and Dani Clode on designing technologies to extend the human form at the ACM CHI Conference. Beyond the fascinating synthesis of neuroscience, HCI, and design, this talk challenges widely-held assumptions around disability and technology development. Highly recommend https://youtu.be/3LvliuscnP8?si=5N-Xoqv54o8mFNPP&t=471
