It was a brisk but beautiful day in Boston, and luckily I was able to go on a short run while listening to talks for my #AcademicRunPlaylist!

First was a nice talk by Anat Admati on the issues with the US banking system and possible reforms at the LSE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22yEV8kDaNA

Next was a fantastic talk by Daron Acemoglu on AI and the future of work at the Saïd Business School. Acemoglu is one of the most vital voices on this topic in economics, and while he still makes the common economist mistake of thinking of jobs as just bundles of tasks and ignoring the entire field of HCI, he delivers powerful evidence of the agency that we have to shape technological development through policy decisions.
